Events
There are several events held during the year at Stoborough at the school, the village hall and the Kings Arms pub.
Good Friday Walk of Witness 2012
Once again Wareham's Church Family joined together for the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness with each party carrying a wooden cross from Sandford and Stoborough, meeting at Wareham Quay for a short service of reflection. More photos in the "Events Gallery".
Church Weekend 2nd - 4th March 2012
At the beginning of March we held our first 'Church Weekend' where we were all wonderfully blessed , the adults with teachings from Rev Rob & Anna Richards and the children with fun-packed sessions learning all about the 'Fruit of the Spirit' with a group of students from Moorlands College. We all shared lunch together on the Saturday and then we let our hair down that evening with a Barn Dance which was enormous fun, plenty of photos can be seen in our gallery at the bottom of the page.
Carols around the Village Christmas Tree 2011
We were blessed again this year with another wonderful turnout for the village Carols around the Christmas Tree and also at the Carols in the Kings Arms.
Nativity Service 2011
All of our children were involved in this year's all-age Nativity service, aswell as 3 'very clever' older members of our congregation and the front and rear of our 'camel'.
Playbox Christmas Party Dec 2011
Every year we have a Christmas Party at Playbox. This year the leaders performed the nativity for the children whilst they ate their party food, then the children were surprised by a 'special visitor' who brought them all a present.
'Birth Of a King' musical Dec 2011
A large group of us all went to see the UK premiere of an epic new musical 'Birth of a King' at the Lighthouse Centre in Poole.
Birth Day Blessings Nov 2011
On November 27th 2011 we held our 'Birth Day' Blessings service, where we launched ourselves as a new independent church, after being a sister church to Emmanuel Baptist Church based in Swanage.

Praise Picnic Aug 2011
In late August we held a 'Praise Picnic' on Stoborough Heath. It was a very rainy morning that day, but as we all arrived on the high point where we were meeting the rain stopped and we could see blue skies on the horizon. As we worshipped and praised God the clouds began to move away and we were soon bathed in glorious sunshine. After worship we all sat and enjoyed a 'Teddy Bear's picnic' lunch and then headed off on a Teddy Bear Hunt which had been organised by Natural England.
A Cream Tea Aug 2011
In mid-August we were all invited to our Pastor Stephen and his wife Lesley's home for a 'Cream Tea Party'. Once again there was a fabulous array of home-baking from Lesley, all of which could be enjoyed with lashings of clotted cream, and everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon of fun and fellowship together.
Summer Social at Sandford School Swimming Pool Jul 2011
As our homegoups finish for the summer break so our summer socials begin, these are usually held at some one's home and are a great opportunity for the congregation to get together for a relaxed and fun evening. This year we were able to use Sandford school's swimming pool so we had a 'pool party' for our first social evening.
Connect 2011 Jul 2011
After the success of last year's Connect2010 event we spent July 13-17th enjoying Connect2011, the second 'Connect' event at Holton Lee just outside Wareham. It was another fantastic opportunity to grow together in Word and Spirit during the 5-day programme of teaching and worship. This year's theme was 'Getting into Gear' and Rev Dr Russ Parker headed up a team of great speakers, which included J John and Brian Draper. There were also various activities, workshops and seminars taking place during the afternoons. Sue's Baptism May 2011
One note worthy event was our church's first believer's baptism at the school. This was to take place in the school swimming pool but there was a last minute change of plan. Sue was baptised in a large paddling pool instead, followed by a picnic lunch on the field. What a wonderful family occassion that was.
A Communion Meal Apr 2011
This Easter we invited everyone to 'Come Home to God'. On Palm Sunday we held a communion meal after the service.
